In the summer of 2013, God spoke clearly to me the words of Matthew 10:27: What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; and what you hear in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. It took me many months to understand what he meant, and even longer for me to begin to obey. This blog, created on August 3, 2014, is my first step of obedience. The title, It’s All True, comes from another instance of the Lord speaking to me. I had been reading some passage in the New Testament, and not quite understanding it. I got up and headed for the kitchen when the Lord stopped me in my tracks, saying “It’s all true.” Until that moment, I had been “taking the Bible with a grain of salt,” so to speak. Part of me was subconsciously analyzing and judging what I read, choosing what to take to heart and what to skim over or ignore. Since that time, when a Bible passage doesn’t make sense or seems to be contradicting my experience, instead of doubting the truth of the passage, I look for God’s perspective instead of my own.
